Super durable, it features posts at each side that accept unique Quick Clips, which "snap" the two piece belt straps (or optional drop straps) in place for quickly getting into or out of the belt. For fighting big game fish stand-up style, the AFTCO Maxforce? is the ultimate in harness design for 30-130lb tackle. The combination of lumbar and sit-in pads distributes the load below the hips, allowing the lower body to exert maximum pulling leverage with superb comfort under heavy drag loads. Harness features a super-comfort molded, closed-cell EVA foam padding, with a tough, waterproof lycra polyester cover. The harness liner is made from synthetic terry cloth, which not only wicks moisture, but has enough "tooth" to keep the harness from slipping around and chafing. Attached to the inside liner is a name and ID tag. Harness includes both stainless "cross lock" snaps and "quick release" hooks for securing harness to reel lugs. The self-adjusting reel attachment straps prevent the harness from riding up, and provide the best pulling angle for maximum leverage. Stainless D-rings for drop straps are double-sewn and cross-stitched into the harness, and a molded rubber safety/grab handle is also double-stainless riveted and box-stitched into the back of the belt. All of the ultra heavy duty nylon web straps feature top quality, corrosion proof, "quick-release" nylon buckles or adjusters. Included is a mesh bag with hanging grommets for easy rinsing and storage of the Maxforce harness.
The lycra polyester covered bio-foam shoulder and back-band padding (with synthetic terry cloth liners) connected with ventilated mesh distribute the load comfortably across the back of the angler, and allow the shoulders and upper body to carry the load during extended light to medium-tackle fights with stubborn gamefish. The four stainless steel ladder-locks are easily adjustable for the perfect fit, even when under load, and the pure brass cross-lock clips provide a secure attachment to reel harness lugs. All of the nylon webbing straps are cross and box-stitched at the critical locations for extreme durability. Included is a mesh bag with grommets for rinsing the harness with fresh water and for easy storage. Otherwise, the AFTCO Shoulder Harness is completely synthetic and machine washable.

Made from tough woven nylon, these straps first attach to the loops on each side of Braid fighting belts (after the standard two-inch is removed), and then the "snaps" at the opposite end of the straps are clipped to the "D" rings on Braid harnesses. With the belt in position, it can be readily adjusted up or down. By using the straps to lower the belt's position across the thighs, the angler can reach higher up on the rod's foregrip to apply increased pressure on the fish, while reducing the strain on the arms and legs.
The Light Tackle Pad. It is truly the perfect design and shape for anglers using 15# to 40# test line and is possibly the only rod belt on the market truly suited for big game saltwater fly fishing. The Light Tackle Pad can either be worn with the existing belt strap or, for more comfort and ease, can be simply clipped onto the anglers pant waist for immediate action.
